US expands Iran campaign, 7,000 targets hit: Trump

US President Donald Trump said American military operations against Iran have continued “at full force” in recent days, revealing that roughly 7,000 targets across the country have been hit in a sweeping campaign.

Trump said the latest strikes carried out on Monday targeted three sites linked to missile and drone production inside Iran, underscoring Washington’s focus on degrading Tehran’s military capabilities.

The US president also signaled efforts to broaden international involvement in the campaign, stating that Washington is encouraging other countries to join.

“We are urging other nations to come in and help,” Trump said, adding that several countries had indicated they were “on the way” to participate or provide support, while others showed less enthusiasm.

He noted that he could not disclose the identities of some supporting countries, saying they may prefer not to publicly acknowledge their involvement at this stage.

On maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz, Trump said US forces had destroyed around 30 vessels suspected of being used to lay naval mines.

However, he acknowledged uncertainty over whether mines had actually been deployed in the strategic waterway.

The remarks come amid rising military tensions in the region, fueling international concerns over a broader escalation and its potential impact on global energy supplies and shipping routes, particularly through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical النفط transit corridors.
