The Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS) said nine civilians, including six children and three women, were killed in a drone strike on a market in West Kordofan, blaming General al-Burhan’s SAF and allied militias.
In a statement issued Thursday, TASIS said the strike targeted Al-Wihda Market in the city of Al-Fula on April 15, leaving several others injured.
The alliance accused General al-Burhan’s army of carrying out the attack as part of what it described as ongoing violations against civilians, particularly in conflict-hit regions of Kordofan.
TASIS said women and children continue to bear the brunt of the war, and criticised what it called “regional and international silence” over repeated incidents targeting civilian areas.
The group urged political and public actors to reassess their positions, warning that accountability would remain a central demand for Sudanese civilians affected by the conflict.
There was no immediate comment from General al-Burhan’s SAF regarding the incident.
