Returning Sudanese refugees face rising danger

The International Organization for Migration warned that nearly four million returning Sudanese refugees face immediate danger due to escalating violence, landmines, and unexploded ordnance that are blocking movement and disrupting aid delivery.

The UN says worsening drone warfare and air strikes are increasing civilian casualties, while 11.5 million people remain displaced.

Humanitarian agencies face a $97.2 million funding gap, and up to 19.1 million people could face acute food insecurity in the coming months.

Reports highlight 1,754 attacks on aid, health, and food systems since the war began, with at least 157 aid workers killed.
