TASIS announces major restructuring and new leadership bodies

The Sudan Founding Alliance announced a sweeping restructuring of its leadership bodies on Wednesday, unveiling a new organizational framework aimed at expanding its political, humanitarian and grassroots operations as the alliance moves into what it described as a “new phase” of revolutionary action in Sudan.

The announcement followed resolutions adopted during the third ordinary session of the alliance’s Leadership Council chaired by Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.

In a statement signed by Leadership Council rapporteur Makin Hamid Tirab, TASIS said the restructuring is intended to strengthen “effective and advanced structures” capable of responding to Sudan’s political, security and humanitarian crises while accelerating implementation of the alliance’s Founding Charter.

The alliance reiterated its commitment to building what it called a “new, secular, democratic, decentralized and voluntarily united Sudan” founded on the principles of freedom, justice and equality.

TASIS said the restructuring would help expand and activate the alliance’s political and organizational programs while deepening coordination with Sudanese grassroots constituencies and founding members.

Under the new structure, TASIS established a series of specialized committees covering political communication, strategic studies, humanitarian affairs, social affairs and diversity management, organization, media, legal and human rights issues, and women and children’s affairs.

The alliance named:

  • Khalil Abd Allah Adam as head of the Political Communication Committee
  • Prof. Dr. Saif Al-Din Abdelrahman Mohamed as head of the Strategic Studies and Research Committee
  • Ibrahim Makki Ibrahim as head of the Social Affairs and Diversity Management Committee
  • Abdel Latif Abd Allah Ismail as head of the Humanitarian Affairs Committee
  • Dr. Hudhaifa Abd Allah Mustafa as head of the Organizational Committee
  • Mohamed Ismat Yahya as a member of the Executive Committee
  • Hasab Al-Nabi Mahmoud Hasab Al-Nabi as head of the Media Committee
  • Mutawakil Othman Salamat as head of the Legal Affairs and Human Rights Committee
  • Amani Musa Koudi as head of the Women and Children Committee

The alliance also announced the appointment of Ahmed Taqad Lisan as TASIS official spokesperson, alongside two deputies, as part of ongoing efforts to complete the alliance’s institutional structures and strengthen its political effectiveness.

TASIS said additional appointments for the External Relations Committee and the Youth and Students Committee will be announced later.

The alliance described the restructuring as the beginning of a “highly significant phase of steadfast revolutionary political action” aimed at achieving “real change and building the New Sudan.”
