Port Sudan authorities pledge support for Riyadh after attacks

Sudan’s SAF-aligned government in Port Sudan has condemned attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and pledged its full support for Riyadh’s efforts to protect the kingdom’s security and territorial integrity.

In a statement, the Port Sudan-based Foreign Ministry described the attacks as acts of aggression and said they were carried out by Iran-aligned Iraqi armed groups.

The ministry said the attacks constituted a clear violation of Saudi sovereignty and posed a direct threat to the kingdom’s security and the safety of its territory.

The SAF-controlled authorities said they rejected any actions targeting the sovereignty of states or placing their security at risk, warning that such attacks could undermine efforts to restore stability and further threaten regional peace.

The Port Sudan government reiterated what it described as Sudan’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and expressed support for all measures taken by Riyadh to confront threats and safeguard the kingdom’s stability.
