The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) said in a statement that Sudanese Founding Alliance (Tasis) claim major military advances against Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) units in Blue Nile State.
The RSF said its forces won decisive battles around Amoura, near Damazin, the state capital, inflicting heavy casualties and capturing weapons.
The statement also claimed that RSF-allied forces captured military equipment and prisoners during the fighting, although independent verification remains difficult.
The alliance described the offensive as a major turning point in its broader campaign to dismantle the junta administration based in Port Sudan.
The RSF said its forces would protect civilians and their property in areas under its control, while urging residents to avoid military zones.
The statement used strongly partisan language, describing the SAF and allied militias as the “Muslim Brotherhood’s terrorist army” and “Port Sudan Gang.”
RSF said its alliance as fighting to establish a state founded on justice, equality and the rule of law.
