Tasis forces celebrate military advances in Nyala street rally

Celebrations broke out in South Darfur’s capital, Nyala, as supporters of Sudan’s Founding Alliance (Tasis) forces marked military advances on distant battlefields.

Crowds gathered along the city’s streets, waving flags and cheering fighters aligned with Tasis, a coalition that supports the Rapid Support Forces.

Supporters celebrated local commanders following claims of significant operational gains in the Kordofan and Blue Nile regions.

Tasis said its forces captured strategic positions from the Sudanese Armed Forces after weeks of heavy artillery exchanges and clashes.

Regional leaders described the reported advances as a major victory over military strongholds, as gunfire and nationalist chants echoed through the city.
