Rapid Support Forces is massing along the Barno axis in South Kordofan, preparing for a final push toward Kadugli.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the RSF said its troops are valiant and heroic, vowing to liberate the contested provincial capital soon.
Kadugli, the seat of South Kordofan state, has remained largely under Sudanese Armed Forces control throughout the country’s grinding civil war.
The group has repeatedly announced offensives in South Kordofan, part of a wider campaign against SAF-held territory since fighting erupted in 2023.
