At least 450 people were displaced from a village in Sudan’s North Kordofan state in a single day, the IOM said Monday.
IOM field teams estimated the villagers fled Al-Gardud Abu Zeid village in Al-Rahad locality on Sunday, seeking safety elsewhere.
The displaced families sought refuge in Um Rawaba locality, also located within North Kordofan state, the agency said.
Kordofan’s three states have witnessed fierce clashes between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the RSF since October last year.
Sudan’s war, raging since April 2023, has killed tens of thousands and displaced roughly 13 million people, UN estimates show.
