
Saudi Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan announced on Thursday, during the Saudi-Arab-African Economic Conference in Riyadh, that the Saudi Fund for Development will enter into agreements totaling 2 billion riyals ($533 million) with African countries.
“We are working with partners to support Ghana and other countries regarding their debt,” Jadaan added.
During the same conference, Saudi Investment Minister Khalid Al-Falih stated that the kingdom’s Public Investment Fund, which exceeds $700 billion, will undertake “game-changing” investments in Africa.
At the conference, Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman signed initial agreements with African countries, including Nigeria, Senegal, Chad, and Ethiopia, focusing on cooperation in the energy sector.
