Deadly attack in northwestern Nigeria: 30 killed, many missing

At least 30 people were killed in a series of attacks in northwestern Nigeria, local media reported on Friday.

The attacks, carried out by armed bandits, occurred in several areas of Katsina State, including Charanci, Safana, Kurfi, and Kaita.

According to local reports, the attackers also burned some of the bodies, and numerous individuals remain missing.

The Katsina State Police confirmed the attacks, stating that they are still gathering further details.

Separately, two police officers were killed in a Boko Haram attack on a police base in the northeastern state of Borno. The terrorists employed gunfire and explosives during the assault.

These incidents underscore the ongoing security challenges faced by Nigeria, particularly in the northern regions, where violence from various armed groups continues to pose a significant threat to civilian lives.
