At least five people have died, and 20 others remain missing after a tragic boat accident in Nigeria’s Delta State. According to police, the speedboat capsized on Friday after striking a submerged log in the remote Gbaramatu Kingdom within the Warri South-West district.
Emergency teams continue to search for the missing passengers, while six survivors are receiving medical care at a local hospital.
Authorities have not yet determined how many people were aboard the boat at the time of the accident. Search and rescue operations remain challenging due to the remote location of the incident.
