Two Nigerian soldiers were killed in a fierce clash with suspected members of the armed wing of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Imo State on Sunday.
The confrontation occurred in the Osina area, according to a statement released by Joseph Akubo, the spokesperson for the 34 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army.
In addition to the fatalities, one soldier remains unaccounted for.
