African heads of state and government have converged in Luanda, Angola, for the 17th edition of the US-Africa Business Summit.

The summit, running from Sunday to Thursday (June 22-25, 2025), aims to strengthen economic ties and explore new trade and investment opportunities between the United States and African nations.

According to spokesperson Jeronimo Pongolola, the event has attracted 2,700 delegates, including seven African presidents, six heads of government, 19 ministerial delegations, and six representatives from international and regional organizations.

Co-organized by the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) and the Angolan government, the summit is themed “Paths to Prosperity: A Shared Vision for US-Africa Partnership.”

It brings together a diverse group of participants, including government officials, CEOs, senior executives, investors, and small and medium-sized entrepreneurs.

A key objective of this year’s summit is to highlight Africa’s growing economy and its efforts to attract foreign investment in vital sectors such as energy, infrastructure, finance, and agriculture, with a particular focus on the host country, Angola.

Pongolola emphasized that the summit is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen US-Africa commercial relations, focusing on initiatives that drive sustainable development and economic growth across the continent.
