Ethiopia has officially launched Africa’s first integrated digital government platform, aiming to bring public services together through a single online interface.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed introduced the system, describing it as a key component of the country’s push to modernise its economic and administrative infrastructure.
The platform consolidates services from multiple public institutions into one digital portal, designed to reduce processing times, simplify administrative procedures and improve access for citizens. Officials say the system also enhances transparency and strengthens institutional accountability across government services.
Positioned as a “one-stop” digital gateway, the application allows users to navigate a range of state services more efficiently, replacing traditional paper-based procedures with faster digital processes.
Abiy also called on regional partners to collaborate on similar initiatives and expand knowledge-sharing across Africa, framing Ethiopia’s rollout as a model for broader digital transformation on the continent.
