English golfer John Parry staged a remarkable comeback to win the Mauritius Open on Sunday, securing his second European Tour title after a 14-year drought.
Parry, who entered the final round five strokes behind the leaders, carded an impressive 8-under 64, highlighted by seven birdies and an eagle.
His brilliant performance set a clubhouse target of 14-under 274.
South African duo Dylan Naidoo (71) and Christo Lamprecht (65) tied for second place, two shots behind Parry.
Another South African, Jovan Rebula, finished in fourth place with a score of 11-under.
Parry’s previous European Tour victory came in 2010 at the Vivendi Cup.
However, he has enjoyed a resurgence in recent times, securing three victories on the Challenge Tour this year.
This victory marks a significant milestone in Parry’s career and a testament to his resilience and determination.
