The Competitions Committee of the Sudanese Football Association (SFA) decided to cancel the current football season of the Sudanese League. The final stage of the qualification round was scheduled to take place in one of the cities.
The decision to cancel the current season was accompanied by a decision to increase the teams in the Sudanese Premier League to 20 teams for the upcoming season. It was also indicated that the new season will start in January next year.
The decision also included the opening date for the transfer window, which has been set for the 15th of September for a duration of 15 days. The registration for the second window will open on the 1st of November for a month.
In a related context, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has decided to postpone the upcoming match of Al-Hilal in the preliminary round against Al-Salam, South Sudan team, by 24 hours due to the delayed arrival of Al-Salam’s team delegation in Morocco.
The match will now be held on Sunday, August 20th.
