Field commander in the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Adam Qarh, said rival forces had been decisively defeated on the battlefield and were now resorting to efforts aimed at sowing discord among Sudan’s various social and political groups.
Speaking in remarks released on Saturday, Qarh claimed opposing forces no longer possessed effective field units, arguing that forces aligned with what he described as “terrorist groups and joint formations” had been destroyed during fighting across desert regions and parts of Kordofan.
He further claimed that the Al-Baraa battalions and joint units had lost their battlefield leadership structures and no longer maintained active fighters on the ground.
“The enemy is now turning to other methods after these repeated defeats, including attempts to create divisions and incite tensions between different parties,” Qarh said. “This is a destructive plan that people must remain alert to.”
The RSF commander urged communities and local groups to remain vigilant against what he described as efforts to provoke internal disputes, calling for unity and cohesion to counter such attempts.
The remarks come as fighting and political tensions continue across several parts of Sudan, with competing factions increasingly accusing each other of seeking to exploit ethnic and political divisions alongside ongoing military operations.
