Burhan’s army targets Sudan’s Wad Madani port – RSF

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have said Al Burhan’s army (SAF) completely destroyed the Wad Madani land port in a series of airstrikes.

The attack marks a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict that has gripped the country since April.

Video posted on the RSF’s social media account on X said the destruction of the vital infrastructure has caused widespread disruption to trade and humanitarian aid efforts in the region.

The port, a crucial link for the movement of goods and people, is now rendered inoperable, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Sudan.

Images and videos circulating on social media purport to show the extent of the damage to the port, with building heavily damaged.

Al Burhan’s army has not yet commented on the airstrikes.

The destruction of the Wad Madani land port comes as tensions between the two warring factions continue to rise, prompting fears of a further deterioration of the situation.
