The Sudanese Red Crescent Society’s River Nile State branch welcomed a high-level delegation from the organisation’s General Secretariat on Wednesday.
The mission was led by Secretary-General Aida Al-Sayed, accompanied by Thierry Baloyi, President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies for the Sudan and Eritrea Sector.
They were received by Imamuddin Mohammed Ahmed, the branch’s executive director, alongside staff members who expressed optimism about the visit’s significance.

During the visit, the delegation inspected the branch’s new premises, marking what officials described as a strategic step to enhance working conditions and improve preparedness for emergency response.
They also visited the Al Dhafer Educational Foundation, underscoring a growing partnership between humanitarian and educational sectors to promote community resilience.
