Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in a statement on Thursday said with each passing day the full scope of the “conspiracy masterminded by the terrorist Islamic Movement and the SAF becomes clearer.”
Sudanese group stated that the SAF’s objective is deliberate and malicious: to provoke a violent confrontation between the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and innocent civilians, exploiting the resulting chaos to manipulate political and media narratives.
The RSF highlighted growing evidence that this plot is being actively coordinated, including efforts to arm villagers across the Gezira region.
“Disturbing videos have emerged showing remnants of the former regime and misled individuals from Tikaina and nearby villages openly pledging to attack our forces,” RSF said.
The RSF urged the residents of these villages to reject being used as pawns by the former regime, emphasizing that these forces seek only to exploit civilians, drawing innocent people into conflict under the deceptive guise of “popular resistance.”
“There should be no doubt: the RSF will not tolerate the terrorist remnants of the former regime or their attempts to spread discord across our nation. We will confront them with unwavering determination.”
RSF said its soldiers are closely monitoring the movements of the Islamic Movement, who are actively mobilizing and arming civilians in targeted areas of Gezira State.
The RSF stated that al-Burhan and his allies aim to incite chaos by converting ordinary citizens into combatants and pulling them into the conflict.
“This reckless strategy is intensified by their attempts to manipulate the situation through platforms controlled by military intelligence and their propaganda network, including the so-called Al Jazeera Conference and other fabricated fronts created solely for political manipulation,” RSF said.
The RSF stated it has irrefutable evidence revealing the involvement of terrorist leaders in this reckless mobilization campaign, designed to create baseless accusations for political gain.
“A particularly alarming example is the reckless rhetoric of Abdel Fattah al-Burhan of the SAF, who openly declared in al-Butana his willingness to arm civilians nationwide under the guise of popular resistance. Such dangerous and provocative statements highlight the former regime’s desperation and their willingness to endanger innocent lives to maintain their corrupt and authoritarian control,” RSF said.
The group said it is committed to protecting civilians and dismantling the terror and corruption that have plagued Sudan for over three decades.
