Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have reshuffled their command structure in Omdurman, appointing Major General Abdelrahman Juma Barakallah as sector commander, sources told Darfur24.
The overhaul also includes changes in intelligence and operational leadership.
Barakallah is taking charge as the RSF reorganizes its presence in Omdurman following its withdrawal from Khartoum last week.
RSF intelligence is reportedly conducting a review of its forces in Omdurman, targeting suspected informants accused of working for General al-Burhan’s army (SAF).
The Sudanese group remains stationed in several locations across the city, with clashes against SAF occurring sporadically.
