RSF arrests armed suspects after deadly Darfur building robbery

Three civilians were killed and three others injured after armed robbers stormed a residential building in Umm Dukhun, Central Darfur, the Rapid Support Forces have said.

The attackers forced their way into the building to steal residents’ belongings, leaving three people dead and three others wounded.

Among those killed was Ibrahim Mohamed Abdel Karim, the locality’s director of youth and sports, whose death stunned the local community.

Humanitarian volunteer Hassan Othman Al-Haj Al-Dawid, known for helping displaced families, was also killed, along with Yasser Al-Radi Mustafa.

Security forces, supported by local residents, tracked down the suspects and arrested them shortly after the attack.

The RSF’s Civil Administration said the coordinated operation led to the suspects’ swift arrest and helped restore security in the area.
