The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in South Darfur have declared a state of emergency, saying the move is aimed at improving security across the region.
The decree introduces a series of legal measures intended to maintain public order and enhance the protection of local communities.
At the same time, the RSF said it has begun implementing decisions issued by the Security and Defense Council.
According to the force, the measures are intended to address security challenges and strengthen administrative control in parts of the state.
In neighbouring West Kordofan, the Civil Protection Force announced that it had dealt with security issues that were affecting stability in the Al Kubra area.
Officials said the operations helped improve the security situation and eased concerns among residents.
Parts of Sudan have been affected by prolonged conflict, with fighting disrupting governance and security in several regions.
The latest measures reflect ongoing efforts by authorities to restore order and reinforce state institutions in areas affected by instability.
Humanitarian observers, however, caution that lasting stability will require broader political, economic and social solutions in addition to security measures.
Residents continue to closely monitor developments as authorities seek to address the challenges facing their communities.
