RSF defeat Al-Baraa Brigade, kill 220 militants in Khartoum

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have successfully repelled an infiltration attempt by the SAF-controlled Al-Baraa Ibn Malik Brigade in Khartoum, killing 220 militants in the process.

According to field sources speaking to Assayha, the RSF engaged the group across several key areas, including the Nilein Towers, Sharouni, Khartoum 2, and 3, with fighting extending southward to Abu Hamama.

The Al-Baraa Ibn Malik Brigade, which has been linked to extremist and jihadist groups operating within Sudan, attempted to infiltrate the capital, prompting the RSF to intensify their surveillance and operations.

The RSF arrested several individuals among the infiltrators, identifying them as extremist elements associated with radical jihadist battalions. These individuals are now under investigation to determine potential links to terrorist organizations, both locally and regionally.

The RSF has continued its efforts to neutralize any remaining threats, focusing particularly on individuals tied to the Islamic Movement (Sudanese Muslim Brotherhood) and other radical factions.

In their statement, the field sources emphasized their determination to eliminate what they described as “rabid Koz” – a term used to refer to fanatical extremists associated with jihadist militant groups, such as those aligned with the Islamic Movement.

“We crushed the Al-Baraa Ibn Malik Brigade, and their remnants have fled,” the sources stated, confirming that efforts would continue to track down and eliminate all militants still active in the area.

The RSF has vowed to pursue these elements relentlessly, determined to eliminate their influence in Sudan’s capital and beyond.

The ongoing conflict in Sudan remains complicated, with multiple factions vying for control and various militant groups, including those with jihadist leanings, continuing to pose a significant threat to stability.
