An RSF statement released on Wednesday accused SAF leader General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan of hypocrisy and deception for his speech at Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit in Riyadh on Tuesday.

Burhan is “Attempting to present himself as a peace advocate while his actions tell a very different story.” RSF said.

“Under the pretence of promoting peace and resolving conflicts, al-Burhan continues his ruthless assault on the Sudanese people, with relentless airstrikes and ground attacks causing countless civilian casualties.”

RSF added that Al-Burhan’s speech at the summit was a stark display of hypocrisy as he claimed to seek peace while his SAF continued to conduct indiscriminate attacks against civilians.

“Al-Burhan’s attempts to disguise his true intentions only expose him further as a war criminal who must be held accountable for the suffering he has caused to the Sudanese people,” RSF said.

The group also accused SAF leader al-Burhan of consistently rejecting genuine peace efforts and failing to fulfil his commitments to resolve the Sudanese crisis.

“In stark contrast, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have shown unwavering commitment to peace and stability. Our resolve to restore order is not driven by weakness but by a deep sense of responsibility to the people of Sudan.”

Al-Burhan’s regime is a terrorist faction with no legitimate authority, responsible for ongoing atrocities stemming from a coup designed to advance the interests of the terrorist Islamic Movement and remnants of the former regime, RSF said.

“The RSF stands firm in its mission to dismantle the oppressive regime in Port Sudan and to lay the foundation for a new Sudan—one founded on peace, justice, and the dignity of all its citizens,” the group said.
