The Rapid Support Forces carried out a drone attack on the Sudanese army’s airbase in El Obeid on Friday, reportedly damaging military equipment and destroying an air-defence system.
Sources cited by Radio Dabanga said the RSF used explosive-laden suicide drones to target the military facility in the capital of North Kordofan state.
According to the report, one of the drones struck an air-defence system inside the base, destroying it and causing additional losses to equipment belonging to the Sudanese Armed Forces.
The reported attack could not be independently verified, and the Sudanese army had not issued an immediate statement on the incident.
