SAF air strike on Wad Madani mosque claims 31 lives

At least 31 civilians were killed in an SAF air strike targeting a mosque in Wad Madani, the capital of Al Jazirah state, according to activist reports.

According to the Wad Madani Resistance Committees, military aircraft dropped barrel bombs on the Sheikh El Jeili mosque and nearby areas after evening prayers. They reported 31 fatalities, with 15 bodies identified so far.

The statement also noted that many bodies remain unidentified.

The Sudanese armed forces (SAF) have faced accusations of indiscriminate air strikes on RSF-held areas across the country, causing significant civilian casualties and destruction.

Meanwhile, the RSF has been accused of retaliatory attacks on villages in eastern Al Jazirah, including Tambul, Rufaa, and El Geneid El Hilla.
