The Rapid Support Forces have launched a large-scale operation to fly thousands of fighters out of Nyala International Airport, military sources said on Sunday.
The Forces are reportedly being sent to Libya and Ethiopia for advanced tactical and combat training.
Large cargo aircraft have been operating from the airport daily, turning the facility into a key hub for military transport.
South Sudanese nationals are also reportedly among the forces involved in the recent mobilisation.
Some of the Forces are expected to return to Sudan and reinforce RSF positions on frontlines in the Blue Nile and Darfur regions.
The developments come as the conflict continues to intensify, worsening the humanitarian crisis and threatening the daily lives of civilians across the war-torn country.
