The Sudan’s Peace Government (TASIS) has launched an agricultural initiative to distribute seeds and other essential farming inputs to small-scale farmers in South Kordofan.
The initiative is targeting vulnerable rural communities in Habilla and Al Qouz, where farmers are preparing for the current planting season.
Officials say the support is intended to boost food production, strengthen local food security and help prevent crop losses.
Hundreds of farming families are receiving high-yield seeds, tools and other basic agricultural inputs.
Farmers welcomed the assistance, saying high prices had made it difficult to afford essential supplies.
The government says supporting agriculture is key to achieving long-term peace and economic recovery in the region.
