‘This is clear war crime’: al Burhan’s army targets oil

A devastating drone attack on the Al-Ailafoun Oil Station in Sudan has caused significant damage and sparked renewed tensions between al-Burhan’s army (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

The attack, which targeted a critical facility supplying oil to South Sudan, has raised fears of economic collapse and further instability in the war-torn country.

The RSF said late Wednesday in a media statement that al-Burhan’s army and allied militias of carrying out the assault, claiming it is part of a broader campaign to cripple Sudan’s infrastructure and destabilize the country.

The attack resulted in severe injuries to several workers and caused significant damage to the oil station’s PS4 section.

“This is a clear war crime,” stated an RSF spokesperson, condemning the attack as a deliberate act of destruction aimed at harming the Sudanese people.

The RSF has vowed to respond decisively to protect Sudan’s resources and liberate the country from the “failed Islamist era.”

The ongoing conflict between al-Burhan’s army and RSF has had a devastating impact on Sudan’s economy and the welfare of its population.

The attack on the Al-Ailafoun Oil Station is a stark reminder of the fragile state of the country and the urgent need for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
