Top officer threatens to quit SAF over lawlessness, terror

Tensions are escalating in General Abdel Fattah al Burhan’s army as a prominent military commander threatens to resign over growing internal insubordination.

Major General Adel Ismail Abu Bakr Al-Faki issued a fierce warning to rogue armed groups operating within Kassala State.

The 11th Infantry Division commander explicitly stated he “would shed his khaki uniform and go home” before tolerating lawlessness.

Heavy military reinforcements accompanied by combat vehicles have deployed to New Halfa to aggressively impose the state’s fractured authority.

Al-Faki stressed that weapons must exclusively confront national enemies rather than terrorizing innocent Sudanese civilians.

Concurrently, a specialized security cell launched sweeping field campaigns to purge criminal hotbeds in nearby Khashm Al-Qirba.

Colonel Muhammad al-Hassan Ahmad Batran confirmed these daily operations are successfully tightening the noose around localized crime networks.

Military officials are now urging local residents to partner with armed forces to restore peace to the volatile region.
