UN Secretary-General’s envoy to Sudan, Ramtane Lamamra, has arrived in Kenya’s capital to hold talks with a delegation from the Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS), according to local media.
Sources said Lamamra requested the meeting, which is expected to take place in Nairobi within hours.
Abdelaziz al-Hilu, TASIS deputy leader, has departed Nyala for Nairobi to head the alliance’s delegation at the talks, the sources added.
Lamamra has recently urged all Sudanese stakeholders to enter a constructive dialogue leading to a sustainable solution, and signaled his readiness to discuss peace efforts with all parties, including TASIS.
