Huzayfa Abu Nuba, head of the advisory council to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) commander, said the “Tasis” initiative is a government of unity and peace, not a separatist project, and claims to speak for Sudan’s marginalized regions.
In a speech in Kass, Abu Nuba said Tasis’ mandate is to uphold security, justice and equality “without discrimination.” He added that its goal is a Sudanese state where “justice and equality are realized and customs and traditions are respected,” according to the state civil administration’s website.
He did not announce new policies or timelines, but framed the project as an alternative to central domination and wartime exclusion, countering accusations that Tasis aims to carve out a breakaway entity.
