The visit, which will last until Thursday, aims to reinforce strategic defence capabilities between the two nations.
The talks, led by Muadiamvita and South African Defence Minister Angie Motshekga, are focused on strengthening military cooperation in response to escalating tensions in eastern DRC.
The region, rich in minerals, has seen an intensifying conflict, with South African troops suffering heavy losses.
In January, fourteen South African soldiers, deployed as part of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) mission, were killed by the M23 armed group.
The attack, which saw the group advance through eastern DRC, has further strained relations in the region.
South African troops, assisting the Congolese government, are part of a broader effort to restore peace.
Despite these setbacks, the South African Ministry of Defence emphasized that the visit underscores the importance of bilateral defence relations.
The partnership is seen as critical to ensuring peace, security, and stability in the region.
