US President Joe Biden announced on Wednesday that Israel has approved humanitarian aid delivery into Gaza despite their ongoing military response to Hamas attacks.
Biden, during his visit to Israel, mentioned that the United States, in collaboration with its partners, is actively working to facilitate the movement of aid trucks from Egypt into Gaza as quickly as possible.
“We will send aid to civilians in Gaza through Egypt and have asked Israel to cooperate with the Red Cross to visit the hostages.” He stated.
Biden emphasized that nothing is more important than the release of hostages in Gaza in his speech on Wednesday.
He announced allocating $100 million in humanitarian aid for Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
