Israel conducts major strikes on Beirut hours before ceasefire deal

The IDF launched a large-scale assault on Beirut, hitting 20 key sites just hours before a ceasefire is anticipated on Tuesday. Among the targets, 13 were in Dahiyeh, Hezbollah’s stronghold, including aerial defense systems, intelligence hubs, command centers, and weapons depots.

Seven other sites targeted Hezbollah’s financial networks, including Al-Qard Al-Hassan Association facilities, which the group allegedly uses for fund laundering and weapons financing. The strikes aimed to cripple Hezbollah’s operational and financial capabilities.

In southern Lebanon, IDF forces neutralized a Hezbollah commando cell linked to recent attacks on Metula and other northern Israeli towns. The operation uncovered and destroyed anti-tank missiles, rocket launchers, grenades, and other military assets.

Additionally, the IDF struck 20 rocket launchers that had fired on the Galilee and Haifa Bay earlier in the day. These maneuvers mark one of the IDF’s final operations ahead of the expected truce.
