General al-Burhan’s Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), in collaboration with allied militias linked to the extremist Islamic Movement, have launched a brutal campaign against civilians in Sinja, located in Sennar State, according to a statement by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on Wednesday.
Shocking video evidence has emerged, revealing the SAF’s direct involvement in horrific acts, including the systematic rape of young girls and children—unspeakable crimes that demonstrate a complete disregard for human dignity, the RSF reported.
RSF says al-Burhan’s forces, supported by mercenary groups, have perpetrated mass killings, torture, and arbitrary detentions, targeting civilians indiscriminately based on ethnicity and regional affiliations. The attacks, falsely justified by accusations of collaboration with the RSF, have contributed to an ongoing campaign of ethnic cleansing.
The Sudanese group said that after its tactical withdrawal from Sinja, the SAF, aided by militias tied to the Islamic Movement and foreign mercenaries, intensified their violence, leaving the region in devastation and escalating the already dire situation.
In Port Sudan, General al-Burhan’s regime has entrenched repression through the “Law on Unfamiliar Faces,” a draconian policy that targets individuals based on suspected social affiliations, labeling them as RSF sympathizers without any proof.
The repressive law permits detention or even execution based solely on suspicion, highlighting the regime’s brutal resolve to cling to power at any cost, regardless of the devastating impact on justice, human rights, and national unity, the RSF said.
The RSF asserts that these atrocities are not isolated acts but a deliberate strategy orchestrated by SAF commanders.
“The regime has weaponized fear to deepen societal divisions, strengthen its hold on power, and escalate the nation’s suffering, all while betraying the core principles of humanity and governance,” RSF said.
