RSF captures key towns from Muslim Brotherhood in Sudan

The Rapid Support Forces, supported by allied units from the allied forces of the Founding Alliance, reported major victories on Saturday.

RSF said in a statement that they had crushed elements of the Muslim Brotherhood’s armed wing, taking full control of key areas across North Kordofan and Blue Nile.

Strategic towns reportedly captured include Bara, Maqja, Kurmuk, Al-Baraka, Al-Kili, and Baladqu, marking a significant turn in ongoing operations.

Officials described the advances as a shift in the battlefield, aimed at eliminating terrorist influence across Sudan.

The Rapid Support Forces said hundreds of enemy fighters were killed or captured, with many abandoning weapons and heavy equipment.

Military sources said troops penetrated deep into enemy strongholds, dismantling defensive positions and consolidating control over critical territories.

The Forces of the Alliance for the Establishment of Freedom stressed the importance of protecting civilians and securing property in liberated areas.

Authorities urged residents to stay clear of conflict zones as forces work to stabilise newly regained regions.

Officials called the operations a major step toward freeing the country from terrorist groups, including the “Port Sudan Gang.”

The Rapid Support Forces reiterated their goal of capturing remaining strongholds and establishing governance based on justice and equality.

Spokespeople framed the campaign as a decisive effort to protect Sudanese citizens and restore law and order nationwide.
