The Sudan Founding Alliance, known as TASIS, on Saturday accused General al-Burhan’s SAF of carrying out an airstrike on a crowded market in South Kordofan, saying civilians were killed and wounded.
TASIS spokesperson Ahmed Tugod Lisan said SAF warplanes targeted a market in Khamisa, northwest of al-Takama near Dilling, as residents from nearby villages had gathered for the area’s weekly market.
He said the strike caused civilian deaths and injuries, but did not provide a confirmed toll.
The reported attack comes amid escalating fighting across Kordofan and Blue Nile, where both sides have traded accusations over drone strikes, air raids and attacks on civilian areas.
Independent Arabia reported that SAF drones targeted Rapid Support Forces positions around Bara in North Kordofan, while RSF drones struck sites in Omdurman, Blue Nile and South Kordofan.
The fighting around Dilling and nearby areas has intensified in recent months, worsening the humanitarian situation in a region already affected by displacement, insecurity and limited access to basic services.
TASIS has repeatedly accused the SAF and allied forces of targeting civilians in areas outside the control of the Port Sudan authorities, while the SAF has accused the RSF and allied groups of launching attacks on towns and military sites across Kordofan.
