TASIS announces final Sudanese certificate exam arrangements

The Transitional Peace Government has announced the completion of all arrangements for the 2026 Sudanese certificate examinations, which are scheduled to begin on June 7.

The exams will be held across a wide network of centres in seven states, in addition to a special centre in Nyala for students from the Central Region.

The Supervisory Committee for the Sudanese Certificate Exams said the distribution of centres was designed to ensure students can reach their exam venues despite the exceptional conditions caused by the war.

In South Darfur, 30 centres have been prepared, including shared centres in Buram, Rahad Al-Bardi, Kabum, Add Al-Fursan, Mershing, Al-Malam, Tulus and Kass. Several secondary and private schools in Nyala will also host exams, including the Nyala Scientific Institute centre.

In Central Darfur, the Zalingei Boys Centre has been approved. North Darfur will host six centres in Al-Nasr, Al-Tawisha, Al-Kuma, Al-Lait, Um Kadada and Malit.

West Kordofan has been allocated eight centres across Lagawa, Abu Zabad, Al-Mahfura, Ghabeish, Al-Fulah and Al-Mujlad. West Darfur will host seven centres, including locations in Al-Geneina and Ardmeta, along with a number of secondary and private schools.

In East Darfur, 14 centres have been approved in Al-Daein, Abu Matariq, Al-Firdous, Abu Jabra, Adeela, Abu Karanka and other localities. The Al-Mazroub centre has also been designated to receive students from North Kordofan.

The committee said the special centre for Central Region students in Nyala was approved to ease access and help maintain the stability of the examination process.

Officials said the final preparations include securing exam centres, providing a suitable environment for students and coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure the exams proceed smoothly.

The arrangements were announced by the Minister of Information and official spokesperson of the Transitional Peace Government, together with the head of the Supervisory Committee for the Sudanese Certificate Exams, who outlined the geographical distribution of centres and the technical and administrative measures planned for the examination period.
