The head of the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) said the TASIS peace government does not carry separatist or racist aims, stressing its chief goal is preserving Sudan’s unity—land, people, history and heritage.
In a post on Facebook, Sandal said unity “benefits everyone without exception,” adding that all Sudanese stand to gain from keeping the country intact.
He accused the Port Sudan junta and “writers of hate, war and division” of systematically promoting, through domestic and foreign media and in some international circles, a false claim that TASIS formed a peace government to partition Sudan. He called the charge baseless.
Sandal added that a significant segment of the Port Sudan junta pursues “separatist and racist” agendas that do not serve the nation, and is trying to advance them by alleging TASIS seeks to split the country. He condemned those allegations as lies, invoking a Quranic verse to underscore his point.
