The European Union on Monday prolonged sanctions on Sudan for another year, keeping asset freezes and travel bans on 10 individuals and 8 entities accused of undermining stability and the country’s fragile political transition.
The measures, first adopted in October 2023, will now run until Oct. 10, 2026, the Council said in a statement. They prohibit EU citizens and companies from making funds or economic resources available to the listed parties.
