The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have issued a strong condemnation of General al-Burhan’s forces (SAF) and their Islamic Movement (Sudanese Muslim Brotherhood) allies for their deliberate attack on the Saudi Hospital in El-Fasher, North Darfur.
The RSF accused the SAF of carrying out the assault on the hospital, describing it as a cowardly and blatant act.
The group said this attack is part of an ongoing pattern of violent offenses by the SAF and its mercenary partners since the start of the conflict, which have included relentless strikes on civilian infrastructure, populated areas, and public services through air raids and artillery bombardments.
In addition to targeting the hospital, SAF forces have also been linked to the recent destruction of a vital oil refinery in the region, further escalating the humanitarian crisis. The refinery, a critical source of fuel for North Darfur, was struck in an effort to disrupt the region’s ability to sustain its energy needs, exacerbating the suffering of the civilian population, RSF said.
The Sudanese group urged regional and international organizations to join in condemning these brutal actions, which intentionally target hospitals, markets, civilian homes, and now essential infrastructure, further endangering innocent lives.
