
King Mohammed VI of Morocco appointed his son, Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, to a senior military coordinating post Saturday.
The royal court said the king also chief of the military general staff made the appointment in a statement.
Prince Moulay El Hassan, aged 22, was named coordinator of offices and services within the Royal Armed Forces general staff.
King Mohammed VI, now 62, previously held key military position after his father King Hassan II appointed him in 1985.
